Each member agrees to adhere to the Club’s Code of Conduct, and to the GCCF Code of Ethics, that all affiliated clubs have agreed to accept. The Club, together with the other clubs catering for the Bengal Cat, played a key role in the successful application for preliminary recognition of the breed by the GCCF that was granted in June 1997.
It is the role of clubs such as the Bengal Cat Club of Great Britain to play an active part in both the future developments and the general welfare of the breed. The club exists not only for breeders, but also owners and admirers of the Bengal cat and takes an active part in promoting the breed to the general public. For members there is a club newsletter which has a wide range of articles, personal experiences and anecdotes, health issues, humour etc. The club is now one of the larger Pedigree Cat clubs in Great Britain and is a TICA chartered club. The club is also pleased to be affiliated to the Feline Advisory Bureau.
